Implant consultation
The preliminary consultation for the placement of a dental implant
The implantology consultation allows for the necessary examinations to optimize the choice and the course of your implant treatment.
The interview
We will listen carefully to your expectations and grievances to respond precisely to your request.
Medical history
We will review your medical history and determine if implant surgery is feasible.
We can also contact your primary care physicians and specialists if necessary.
Sometimes, special precautions will need to be taken.
Clinical examination
We will perform a facial, oral, and dental examination, with particular attention to your periodontal condition. Indeed, untreated or poorly treated gum diseases can affect dental implants.
3D Radiographic Examination (Cone Beam)
We will perform this 3D X-ray, which will allow us to observe your bone volumes very precisely, as well as certain anatomical obstacles such as nerves and arteries.
This will enable us to choose the most suitable implant size for your case and digitally preview its position.
We have a cone beam CT scanner in our clinic, so you do not need to visit a radiologist for this examination.
Treatment plan
After analyzing the collected data, we will develop a personalized treatment plan. If your case is simple, we will present it to you immediately. For more complex cases, we will present it during a subsequent consultation.
We will detail:
-
- The different treatment options, as well as any alternative solutions,
- The possible need for pre-implant treatments (extraction with socket preservation, bone and/or gum graft),
- The possibility of providing an immediate temporary prosthesis on implants,
- The type of anesthesia, sedation, or pre-medication chosen to ensure your surgery is as comfortable as possible,
- The time required for the treatment and the number of associated sessions,
- Pre-operative advice and your medication prescription,
- The exact cost of the treatment and the financing options available.
How much does a pre-implant consultation cost?
For a consultation, the fee is CHF 89.-, to which the cost of a 3D X-ray must be added, amounting to CHF 276.-
